United Way
of Summit County is a recognized leader in community
philanthropy. Surveys have shown that more Summit County
residents are aware of United Way than any other non-profit
in the area*.
Across the country and locally, United Way is one of the
most recognizable brands and logos. By sponsoring a United
Way event, you can align your company with United Way, while
demonstrating a commitment to community impact and improving
lives here in our community.
In just three years, Docs Who Rock has grown into a
widely recognized, successful signature event for United
Way. Local physicians show off their musical talents, either
as solo acts or as part of a group, in this entertaining
annual show that draws medical personnel and patients as the
majority of the audience.
More than 1,900 tickets were sold for the 2007 show held
at E.J. Thomas Hall. The 2008 show will be held on Saturday,
October 25. Dr. Terry Gordon, top cardiac
surgeon, is a co-founder of this event.
Promotion of this event is extensive on radio, TV and
print advertising, and DVD copies of the show are produced
and sold, giving additional and permanent recognition for
sponsors.
